The 2019 #CannesFilmFestival market is gaining national attention this year because of a movie poster that features the decapitated head of #DonaldTrump. The film, a science-fiction B-movie homage entitled “When Women Rule the World,” is the directorial debut of writer-director-producer #SheldonSilverstein. The #poster features a woman holding Trump’s head, complete with the president’s trademark red Make America Great Again hat.⁣⁣ ⁣ (h/t to @cinemafromthepast for the Hitchcock inspiration shot) ⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 📑 | SOURCE: ⁣⁣⁣@Indiewire⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ #film #films #movie #movies #cinema #hollywood #entertainment #celebrity #celebrities #cinephile #filmnews #drama #action #horror #filmcritic #newhollywood #indies #indiefilms #studio #boxoffice #pop #popstar #entertainment #death #cannes #feminism #MAGA
FIRST REVIEWS: To return to Peter Bradshaw for a moment, it seems to him that the “nature of Franz’s intensity” is “not all that different from the intensity of Ryan Gosling’s thoughtful singer-songwriter in Malick’s Song to Song (2017), or Christian Bale’s tortured screenwriter in Knight of Cups (2015), or Ben Affleck’s engineer in To the Wonder (2014), whose woes are considerably less pressing . . . It is as if Malick has taken Jägerstätter and enclosed him in exactly that same hermetically sealed environment of heightened awareness of the present moment, and unawareness of the larger context.”⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 📑 | SOURCE: ⁣⁣⁣@CriterionCollection⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ #film #films #movie #movies #cinema #hollywood #entertainment #celebrity #celebrities #cinephile #filmnews #drama #action #horror #filmcritic #oldhollywood #newhollywood #indies #indiefilms #studio #boxoffice #pop #popstar #entertainment #filmhistory #terrencemalick #cannesfilmfestival
